What is happening at Castle Towers?
Castle Towers is progressing the next stage of the Centre’s evolution. The redevelopment will include approximately 70 new stores, a new rooftop wellness destination and an enhanced Event Cinemas Gold Class experience.
Will Castle Towers stay open?
Yes. Castle Towers is expected to remain open and trading throughout the redevelopment works, with measures in place to help minimise disruption wherever possible.
Will shops be closing?
Some stores within the affected area across Levels 2 and 3 will close to allow redevelopment works to occur. Castle Towers is engaging directly with affected retailers to discuss individual circumstances and available options.
What is happening to Gold Class?
The existing Gold Class premises will close as part of the redevelopment works. Gold Class is planned to return in a new format integrated within Event Cinemas 10Plex, including upgraded Gold Class screens and a new lounge/bar experience, set to open late 2026.
Will parking be affected?
Yes. Some parking areas will be unavailable during different stages of the redevelopment.
- Blue Car Park will be accessible via Yellow Car Park Rooftop (entrances via Eric Felton St or Pennant St)
- Orange Car Park (entrance via Eric Felton St) is the best parking for Coles
- Purple Car Park (entrance via Castle Pl, Pennant St or Showground Rd) is the best parking for The Piazza, Event Cinemas, restaurants and entertainment venues
Will access within the centre be impacted?

How will customers know where to go?
Castle Towers will provide clear signage and wayfinding to help customers navigate the centre. Customers can also check the Castle Towers website or ask Guest Services on Level 3 for assistance.
Why is Castle Towers undertaking this redevelopment?
The redevelopment represents a significant investment in Castle Towers and is expected to deliver a major refurbishment, approximately 70 new stores and an enhanced Gold Class experience, creating an improved shopping and customer experience for the community.
When will the redevelopment be completed?
Construction is set to commence in October 2026, and redevelopment works are anticipated to complete in late 2029.
