The Sanctuary

In November 2015, Castle Towers partnered with Women’s Community Shelters (WCS) to support the inception of an ambitious new crisis accommodation project, ‘The Sanctuary’ women’s refuge in Castle Hill.

With the donation of a three-year lease (renewed for a further three years in 2018), for a QIC-owned site in Castle Hill, including use of a six-bedroom property on the land, Castle Towers provided WCS the start required to progress plans for emergency accommodation for women and children in Sydney’s north-west suburbs.

Castle Towers also provided WCS with a building contractor and project consultant services through the Centre’s contractor, Construction Control, to assist with the full renovation of the property at no charge.

The purpose-built facility provides wheelchair access, access to case workers and specialised child support workers, and a state-of-the-art CCTV system and duress alarm, as well as 24/7 on-site support.

Hills Relay For Life

Relay For Life is a fun overnight run or walk that's intended to raise vital funds for the Cancer Council in support of their ongoing research, prevention and support services.
